Ghau boxes of gilt with the tradition filagree design painstakingly hand-tooled within the monastery walls by Tibetan monks follows an old tradition of meditation and prayer.

Meant to be worn as amulets with the power of protection. Often inscribed with the traditional mantra “Head, mouth and heart “to remind the wearer to think good thoughts, speak kindly and have a loving heart. The boxes are also a repository for personal prayer.
